A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Alexis- a childbirth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, maternal and child health specialist, certified women’s health coach and licensed financial professional for securing child’s future based in Bay Area, CA. As a Southern California native that attended UC Davis and received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Infancy and Toddlers, I worked at the local Child Development Center for 2 years and worked as a nanny for a family with children 18 months old and 3 years old. I have experience as a preschool teacher then transitioned into healthcare at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in the NICU, where my love and passion for birth work emerged!

Soon thereafter, I received my MPH in Health Education, Promotion and Evaluation while also working as a Lactation Consultant, Placenta Encapsulator, Preconception Educator, and Gestational Diabetes Researcher. This zeal lead me into non profit work with the Black Infant Health State Program as a Group Facilitator and Postpartum Doula and Depression Screener. I provided Early Intervention Infant Stimulation Services for developmentally delayed children to assess and achieve their milestones. When not doing birth work, I work as a Senior Health Educator/Wellness Coach at top tier hospital in California, supporting people to find and build their motivation to reach their health goals, covering topics such as prenatal health, stress, sleep, diabetes, smoking, weight loss, and physical activity.

Lastly, I am a licensed financial professional that helps protect your biggest asset! Your baby! Your new legacy! I help set up college funds with my financial company to secure your child’s future. It is my passion to teach families how to grow, protect, save and build generational wealth to create an environment of financial freedom. Truth is, most families don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan when they have a baby. I’m here to make sure no family gets left behind to put their family in a better financial situation!

When I’m not “doula”-ing, teaching childbirth and lactation prep classes, or working with families during wellness coaching sessions for mental, emotional and spiritual support, you can find me practicing yoga, hiking, singing karaoke, finding great finds at consignment shops, spending time with my nieces, and traveling all around the world (when I’m not on call, of course)
